Now, this is a tasty recipe for all those people who enjoy a prawn based meal. Its low in carbohydrates and you can even implement it on your ketogenic diet. You will see that it is really easy to cook (although the name might sound a little bit complicated at first).

  • Preperation Time: 5 minutes
  • Cooking/Baking Time: 10 minutes
  • Ready in: 15 minutes

Recipe: Avocado Feta Courgette with Chilli Prawns

Ingredients (1 portion)

  • 125 grams prawns
  • ½ ripe (soft) avocado (approx. 80 grams)
  • 50 grams feta cheese
  • 1 (big) courgette (approx. 300-400 grams)
  • 1 chilli pepper
  • 2 clove garlic
  • olive oil
  • salt & pepper

Cooking Directions

  1. Defrost the prawns first.
  2. Deseed the avocado and haul out the pulp. Crumble the feta cheese and chop one of the garlic cloves into fine pieces.
  3. Mix the feta cheese, the avocado pulp and the garlic in a bowl (you can use a fork) until you get a homogenous mixture. Season it with salt, pepper and other condiments to your liking (e.g. some lime juice)
  4. Now cut the courgette into thin stripes (not in slices, because it will be difficult to cook it afterwards with the crème).
  5. Heat up a pan with some oil (or cooking spray). Deseed the chilli pepper and chop it into small pieces. Squash the other garlic clove and put it together with the prawns into the pan. Cook it all for about 2-4 minutes (depending on the size of the prawns). Add the chilli pepper last.
  6. Finally, mix the avocado crème with the courgette stripes, add the prawns – now you’re done!

Notes & Recommendations

  • Tip 1: If the amount of carbohydrates doesn’t matter to you, you can enjoy this dish with some tagliatelle.
  • Tip 2: You don’t have two pans at your disposal? Just put the courgette with some water into a microwave-able bowl with a lid. Microwave it for about 5 minutes at 600 watt. Decant the water afterwards.
  • Tip 3: You can prepare the avocado crème in larger amounts in advance (or just use the remaining crème for some other dishes). Store it for some days in the fridge if you want to.
  • Tip 4: You don’t like prawns? Try this dish with some beef, fowl or salmon.
