You like omelette? Who doesn’t?! It is a delicious dish and you can create lots of great experiments with it…like this Tomatoe Mozzarella Omlette for example, which is an ideal substitute for your typical carb-rich pizza.

  • Preperation Time: 10 minutes
  • Cooking/Baking Time: 15-20 minutes
  • Ready in: 25-30 minutes

Tomatoe Mozzarella Omlette

Ingredients (1 omlette)

  • 2 whole eggsPreparing for the Tomatoe Mozzarella Omlette
  • 4 egg whites (or just 2 more whole eggs)
  • 20 grams low fat harz cheese (or some other cheese)
  • 100 grams mozzarella
  • 60 grams minced meat or sliced ham
  • 150 grams tomatoes, sliced
  • 30 grams pepper
  • 10 grams basil / parsley
  • Other condiments, salt & pepper to your liking

Cooking Directions

  1. Start with cracking the eggs into a big bowl. Separate the yolk from the egg white in another bowl and add it to the whole eggs. Crumble the harz cheese and add it to the mix together with your favourite condments, salt and pepper.Cooking the Tomatoe Mozzarella Omlette
  2. Chop the vegetables into small pieces, while heating up the pan (don’t forget to add some butter, cooking spray or coconut oil). Cut the mozzarella cheese into thin slices (and the tomatoes, too!).
  3. Add the minced meat and the cut pepper into the pan and cook it for several minutes, until the minced meat starts to crumble.
  4. Take out the pepper-meat mix and pour in the eggs with the harz cheese.
  5. Once the omelette starts to get solid, it is time to flip it on the other side. Start adding the other ingredients, like tomatoes, pepper and minced meat, basil and parsley.
  6. Cook the whole omelette (with a lid?) until it is well done.
  7. Enjoy your Tomatoe Mozzarella Omlette!Ready: Tomatoe Mozzarella Omlette

Notes & Recommendations

  • Tip 1: I used a pizza pan, an electrical cooking gadget, which you can get on Amazon or eBay. Making omlettes (or pizzas) has never been that easy – you don’t have to flip the whole thing, so it is a safe way not to destroy your omlette. 😉
  • Tip 2: Add some grated cheese to the egg mix, so that the omlette gets thicker and more solid (makes it easier to flip and adds a tasty flavor)
