We love it simple and savoury – hopefully, you do, too. This recipe is not very complicated and tastes great. What’s more? Bacon! Can it get better? Yes it can: Bacon AND CHEESE!

  • Preparation Time: 10 minutes
  • Cooking/Baking Time: 30 minutes
  • Ready in: 40 minutes

Recipe: Chicken Breast with Bacon and Cheese


  • 2 (250 grams) chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of cheese (approx 50 grams, e.g. Gouda cheese)
  • 8 slices of bacon (approx. 50 grams)

Cooking Directions

  1. Start with seasoning your chicken breasts (salt, pepper, maybe some olive oil) and then roast it in the pan. Take the breasts out, before they’re well done (important!)
  2. Take it out and make 4 deep cuts into the breasts (don’t cut fully through, tough).
  3. Cut the cheese slices in half and fold them. Do the same with the bacon. The bacon and the cheese should fit perfectly into the chicken breast cuts.
  4. Take a baking mould an put the chicken breast into it. Add some water, so that the chicken breasts don’t get too dry.
  5. Cook the meat at 150 °C (302 °F) for 15-20 minutes. Take them out when the cheese gets golden-brown.
  6. We recommend a delicious salad or fresh vegetables (sliced cucumber, tomatoes and so on) to go with the chicken breasts.
  7. Enjoy your meal!

Notes & Recommendations

  • Tip 1: Substitute the bacon with ham, salami or some other vegetables, if you don’t want additional meat.
