While being on a weight loss diet, there is much you have to forego. However, if it comes to tasty meals there is still a lot you can do to make this journey as satisfying as possible – and of course, we’ll help you in this quest!

This healthy version of fries, made out of courgettes, are a perfect side-dish that goes well with chicken breast or steak.

  • Preparation Time: 10 minutes
  • Cooking/Baking Time: 15-20 minutes
  • Ready in: 25-30 minutes

Recipe: Courgette Fries

Ingredients

  • 1 courgetteRecipe: Courgette Fries
  • Some whole wheat flour or oats
  • 1 glass of skim milk
  • spices (salt, pepper etc.)

Cooking Directions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 200 °C (392 °F).
  2. Peel your courgette and cut it into fries.
  3. Mix the flour with the spices.
  4. Dip your courgette fries in milk and then roll it around in the flour-spice-blend.
  5. Put your fries on a baking tray (don’t forget the baking paper) and bake them for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Enjoy your Courgette Fries!

Notes & Recommendations

  • Tip 1: Make your own dip to go with the fries or take some light sauce.
