You know what the big advantage of selfmade protein bars is? YOU decide whats going in there (and how much). We’ve created this delicious and easy to make protein bar with dark chocolate. An ideal and health snack for all those, who like to make their own protein bars.

  • Preparation Time: 5 minutes
  • Cooking/Baking Time: 30 minutes
  • Ready in: 40 minutes

Recipe: Homemade Protein Bar with Dark Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 100 grams oatsProtein Bars with Dark Chocolate
  • 50 grams Impact Whey Protein „Chocolate“
  • 1 Tsp peanut butter
  • 1 Tsp agave syrup or honey
  • Optional: 1 Tsp cocoa powder
  • 20 grams coconut flakes
  • 20 grams dark chocolate (high cocoa content)
  • 10 grams almonds, chopped
  • 60-80 mil skim milk or almond milk
  • some baking paper

Cooking Directions

  1. Add all ingredients, except the almonds and dark chocolate, into a big bowl and mix it well.Homemade-Protein-Bar-with-Dark-Chocolate-3
  2. Start adding some milk to the protein bar batter (you should start with 60ml to ensure it won’t get too runny).
  3. Once you’re done, put the batter onto a baking try (with baking paper). Form it into a block with a height of approx. 2cm (0.8 in).
  4. Put it for 30 minutes into the fridge and let it cool.
  5. Take the batter out and cut it into 6 even bars.
  6. Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave and start coating the bars with the chocolate.
  7. You can either put the bars for another 30 minutes into the fridge, so that the chocolate can get hard again or just enjoy your homemade protein bars with dark chocolate right away.
