There is a famous candy snack here in Germany and it’s called “Milchschnitte”. If you translate it into English language, you would get something like a “milk sandwhich”. Anyway, it’s sold as a healthy snack suitable for children and adolescents.

However, in reality it is far away from being healthy and that is why we’ve come up with an alternative, all-natural recipe. You should try it first hand!

  • Preparation Time: 5 minutes
  • Rest Time: 10-15 minutes
  • Ready in: 15-20 minutes

Recipe: Fitness Milk Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 big slice pumpernickel bread (or 2 smaller slices)Recipe: Fitness Milk Sandwich
  • 125 quark or firm yoghurt / greek yoghurt, low fat
  • 1 Tsp vanilla flavor (or some FlavDrops in “Vanilla”)
  • A few drops of water
  • sweetner (Xylitol, Stevia)
  • cinnamon

Cooking Directions

  1. Cut the bread slice into two pieces.
  2. Mix the quark with vanilla flavor, cinnamon, water and some sweetner.
  3. Put the quark mass onto one piece of bread.
  4. Now you have to put the same slice for 10-15 minutes into the freezer.
  5. Take it out, spread the remaining quark (if there is any) and put the other slice on top of it.
  6. Enjoy your Milk Sandwich (or, like we say, your Milchschnitte!)
