These Coconut Spelt Balls are an all natural high-calorie snack. You can enjoy them pre-workout snack or on-the-go (or while travelling). Try adding some protein powder, to enhance the protein content.

  • Preparation Time: 15 minutes
  • Cooking/Baking Time: 10 minutes
  • Ready in: 25 minutes

Recipe: Coconut Spelt Balls


  • 125 grams spelt flourRecipe: Coconut Spelt Balls
  • 17 grams baking soda
  • ½ Tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ Tsp salt
  • 190 grams wheat bran
  • 150 ml milk, skim-milk or almond milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 60 grams olive oilRecipe: Coconut Spelt Balls
  • Some sweetner (Stevia, FlavDrops)
  • 50 grams coconut flakes

Cooking Directions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 200 °C (392 °F).
  2. Mix all ingredients in a bowl, until you get a sticky batter (it has to be that way).
  3. Take a spoon and get a little bit of the batter. Start modelling a small ball.Recipe: Coconut Spelt Balls
  4. Roll the ball in coconut flakes and put them on a baking tray.
  5. Once you’re finished rolling the balls, bake them for 10-12 minutes at 200 °C.
  6. Let them cool.
  7. Enjoy your Coconut Spelt Balls.
